Attention All Blondes: Purple Shampoo

A few weeks ago I got my hair ombre'd, and my hair stylist told me when I got my hair cut that I need to use something that will not only protect my hair, but will keep the blonde in as well. She showed me this fabulous product called "Purple Shampoo". At first I thought, well this is just one of those things they're trying to make money off of and something I will never use. But I have used this product 3x and I can already see a difference. At first I was a tad bit nervous using it, but I promise you, no matter what type of purple you use, it will not ruin your hair. A good purple shampoo should be a dark purple, not a light purple, and also should not be transparent. If you decide to start using purple, use it maybe twice a week and if you still find that your blonde has a brassy look to it then you can start using it every time you shower. If you're blonde all over, let the purple soak into the root and then run it through the ends, and then rinse. If you're not a blonde but have blonde or lighter colored highlights on hair that is darker, you'll want to only apply purple to the hair that is colored, again to get rid of that brassy coloring. If you are looking for a great purple shampoo, I would definitely look into this one. It's not too pricey either. I got mine for about 21 dollars, and it has been worth every penny. Make sure to pick it up at your next hair appt.

This is another product that I recently discovered on my own, that you can find at your local grocery store in the hair department. This is actually apart of the Organix line. It's a simple leave-in mist that you can spray in after your shower or to even calm those fly aways. I always use this after my shower and it leaves my hair silky smooth, plus it has an incredible smell. So, let me tell you why you need this.. It miraculously: detangles, protects from thermal damage, prevents color fade, moisturizes, de-frizzes, and adds body, softness, and shine. What more could you ask for? Now let me tell you how you should use it.. Lightly mist all over clean towel dried hair (or spray in the palm of your hand and run your hands through your hair) and style as you normally would. Do not rinse.

I'm always up to try new things, let me know what your fav products are.

Silver Seed Clothing // Southwestern

My newest purchase has been with Silver Seed Clothing and it was truly a delight. The whole team helped make sure my swimsuit bottoms got to me and in a timely matter. I wanted to support Sara with her new collab with SS so found this jem in her collection. They came all nicely sealed in a shiny silver packaging, and it took less than a week. I was a tad bit nervous ordering the size I did, but they fit like a glove. I would say that they are pretty true to size. The price is reasonable and well worth it, because the design is so unique and the material is great.  I love them so much already, and can't wait to get to the beach in Florida to rep them. These should be a must have in your summer.

ATX

This week I traveled to Austin, Texas to visit my roommates, and let me tell you I found some fabulous finds. I didn't snap all of them but I wanted to share a few of my favorites in one post.
These circular sunnies are to die for. I personally never thought that those particular style of sunglasses would be so cute on. Surprisingly, these circular sunnies are extremely in right now, so why not add a little bling to those bad boys and you're good to go.
Now, if you love big necklaces like me, you would've gone coo coo for this one. In a picture its gorgeous, but in person its jaw dropping. Even though it looks heavy to wear, it was shockingly not quite heavy at all. Definitely a one of a kind piece.
Next I found these precious yellow and floral lace shorts. I have never seen such a pair of shorts so dainty and so lovely before in my life. The color yellow is perfect right now for the summer and the lace gives it a softer look, definitely a win in my eyes.
The top that I am shown wearing was so beautiful. You can't see because my necklace is in the way, but there is a "V" cut slit which gave the shirt kind of a scandalous look but kept the class. The same cut is in the back but clasps at the top with a button. I also thought mixing the two prints with my shorts and top looked kind of fun.
The next picture is the interior of a store we visited called Strut. If you're every in ATX, you for sure need to stop by and check this store out! The pricing is reasonable, I'd say between Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters.

And finally, the last picture is from this delicious restaurant called Hopdoddys. I personally don't care for burgers, but if you do, you will find yourself in Burger Heaven. I got the Caesar Salad. Definitely not your average Caesar, but I will for sure be back for it again. That was my adventure in Austin, hope summer is well, and remember to stay adventurous.

James Jeans & Ombre

A good friend of mine who is a stylist at Paul Mitchell came over to my house yesterday to give me this fabulous ombre. I have honestly been so nervous to do ombre but the result came out amazing.
I also want to share my latest purchase of James Jeans. I HIGHLY recommend you investing in these jeans. They are a glove fit and you wont have to worry about pulling them up, because they wont fall down. I am wearing the James Jeans Twiggy Legging. One of the greatest things about the wash of these jeans is that it can be worn both during the spring, summer, AND the winter. They are more on the higher side of pricing, but I promise you, they will not let you down.

Beach Essentials by trulytaylor featuring bobbi brown cosmetics

I have been super busy this past week from the beach to the river, and now finally back home. These are some basic beach essentials that I find very necessary to always have with me. It has been very hot down in Texas the past few weeks so I really suggest you find a cute pair of sunnies and a floppy hat to protect you face and especially your skin. Not only will the Bobbi Brown Self Tanning Gel give you that summer glow but it will also keep your skin from that unwanted burn. Make sure to also check out the JCrew Coola Lip Lux with SPF 15, a product that I find myself constantly using. I hope summer is going well. Remember to stay hydrated.
